About
Sunday, November 1, 5:00 p.m. Hope (호프). Directed by Na Hong-jin. (South Korea, 2026, 160 min., in Korean with English subtitles, digital). In the remote village of Hope Harbor, police chief Bum-seok (Hwang Jung-min) and officer Sung-ae (Hoyeon) are called to find a mysterious creature that has wreaked havoc on the village. In the nearby forest, a coterie of hunters, including Sung-ki (Zo In-Sung), set out to track the beast and find themselves hunted instead. But all is not as it seems, and perceptions can be misleading. What begins as ignorance plants the seed of disaster, escalating through human conflict into a tragedy of cosmic proportions. KFN 2026: The popular annual festival returns for its 9th edition. Selections showcase new international hits and a female-centered classic, all reflecting the energy and talent of the South Korean film industry. Films are screened in Korean with English subtitles unless otherwise noted.
