About
Courtney Patton, a singer, songwriter, and producer, has released her 2022 album Electrostatic. During the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020, Patton and her husband Jason Eady created a weekly program called Sequestered Songwriters featuring musical friends and honoring influential artists. This year of dedications to artists like Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Vince Gill, and the Eagles shaped Patton's songwriting and musical tastes. The resulting album Electrostatic has more musical depth than her previous work while maintaining her personal, open-book songwriting style. The album incorporates jazz influences and Spanish elements, creating a rich tapestry of sound paired with sensitive and meaningful lyrics. Patton notes that her musical heroes and influences organically emerged in each song during the making of the album.
