About
Beyond the Hedges: Historias de Latinidad at Rice University honors the Latinx community at Rice, pieced together from archival photos, letters, diaries, and oral histories. The exhibition shows how Latinx individuals have shaped Rice's legacy since the university's founding in 1910, with nearly 13.5% of Rice undergraduates and over 44% of Houston residents now of Latin American descent. The exhibition was curated by university historians and students and is sponsored by multiple departments and centers at Rice University.
