About
Join Mensun Bound, a fifth-generation Falkland Islander and renowned marine archaeologist, as he recounts his expedition to find the Endurance, the lost ship of Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. In March 2022, 100 years to the day after Shackleton's burial, the Endurance was discovered upright, largely intact, and remarkably preserved nearly 10,000 feet beneath the icy waters of the Weddell Sea. As Director of Exploration for the Endurance22 Expedition, Bound led an unprecedented 35-day mission through heavy sea ice to successfully find and survey the wreck using state-of-the-art technology.
