Neighbors for Nature: Quintana Beach County Park

About

Neighbors for Nature invites guests and community members to participate in a community beach cleanup at Quintana Beach County Park on the Texas Gulf Coast. Participants help remove litter, protect coastal wildlife, and care for natural spaces. People can bring family, friends, and coworkers or join fellow conservation supporters as they work together to keep Quintana Beach beautiful and create a healthier habitat for wildlife. Neighbors for Nature was inspired by Umuganda, a monthly community service tradition in Rwanda practiced by the Zoo's saving-wildlife partners. These events take place on the last Saturday of each month when communities come together to complete projects that strengthen neighborhoods and support the greater good.
