About
Create a meaningful and enduring obituary in this guided workshop that offers tools, structure, and reflection to help you honor a life with clarity, depth, and care. Sadly, when someone passes, families overwhelmed with grief and responsibilities may struggle to write an obituary. An obituary is one of the final, most enduring things you can do to commemorate a life or your loved one. Few people have any experience writing obituaries, but it can be profoundly meaningful to do so. This workshop will help you prepare a detailed and heartfelt draft obituary, for yourself or someone you care about, acquiring skills to fine-tune that draft when necessary. We'll look at sample obituaries, use prompts to generate content, and workshop for feeling and polish. You'll leave with a well-crafted draft obituary, ready to finalize the document when the time comes. We also hope that when loss comes you'll find consolation knowing they've been commemorated with a deserving literary memorial.
