Submissions are open now through 10/14 for our 10/29 edition of Open Decks. Art Club opens its doors to Houston's up-and-coming DJs with an Open Decks night in collaboration with Sound Dojo DJ Academy. Art Club has always been about fostering a community through a shared passion for dance music and nightlife culture. Now, the club is opening its decks to that same community for one Thursday a month. Whether you're looking to step on stage for the first time or want to experience Houston's up-and-coming artists, this is the night for you. Think you're ready for the booth? Submit a 30+ minute mix, tell us about your sound, and apply for the opportunity to play at Art Club. Applicants must be able to perform on CDJs and a Pioneer V10 mixer. Applications will be reviewed, and time slots will be assigned before the event. Register for a slot at Open Decks here. Registration for the 10/25 edition ends on 10/5. For the 10/29 edition, costumes are encouraged. During the night, VIP passes to DJ nights and deals at Sound Dojo will be given away to Best Dressed attendees. Tickets: Free RSVP, limited to 50 guests, must arrive before 9:30 p.m. General admission (arrival before 9:30 p.m.) is $5. General admission (arrival anytime) is $10. Limited slots are available.
