About
The Black Man Project and Black Woman Project present monthly meditation sessions at the Museum. Every fourth Sunday, dedicate a moment to connect with yourself through a mindful morning meditation as you absorb the zen energy from the roof of the Glassell School of Art. Sessions are led by Rashad Sanders, founder of Mindful Muscle and health and wellness ambassador of the Black Man Project. Free and open to the public on the PNC Roof Garden. In the event of inclement weather, the event moves indoors to the McNair Education Court on the lower level of the Kinder Building. The Black Man Project, founded by conceptual artist Brian Ellison, believes art is a universal catalyst for healing. The Black Woman Project, founded by Tarren Everette, is a nonprofit rooted in creating safe spaces for healing and healthy conversations. Mindful Muscle, founded by Rashad Sanders, seeks to aid individuals in understanding the balance between mental and physical health. Sanders has a master's degree in recreation and sports administration, and a certification in yoga and personal training.
