About
The MFAH teams up with the organization Han Narea to celebrate the Arts of Korea Gallery. Live music and performances include a traditional Korean dance by the group Yeonhui Connect IEUL from Seoul, South Korea. They perform yeonhui, a traditional Korean art form that blends music, dance, acrobatics, and theater. The group connects with modern audiences by reinterpreting traditions from a contemporary perspective. During the intermission, enjoy a tour of the gallery with Chuqi Min, PhD candidate in art history, Rice University. This concert is included with Museum admission. The performance takes place on Level 1 of the Law Building. Happy Hour begins at 5 pm on Level 1 of the Beck Building. About the Performers: Han Narea is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting traditional Korean culture through classes, workshops, and performances in South Texas. Yeonhui Connect IEUL is a contemporary Korean traditional performing arts group that reimagines the excitement, energy, and spirit of traditional yeonhui for today's audiences. Blending traditional performance arts such as samulnori (Korean percussion), Lion Dance, and beona (plate-spinning) with modern elements including DJs, dance, and media art, they create dynamic performances that audiences of all ages can enjoy together.
