About

Wine Lips is a Canadian garage punk psych rock band delivering ear-scorching, headbanging, adrenaline-pumping music that rips hard and fast. The band has been givin'r since 2015, starting as a part-time project between Cam Hilborn (vocals, songwriter, guitar) and Aurora Evans (drums) and expanding to a full international shredfest. They have become one of the most successful independent rock bands from Canada in a generation. Wine Lips started in Toronto and expanded across Ontario and Quebec, then toured Hong Kong and China in 2018. They have ripped hundreds of sets across North America, Europe, and Asia at sold-out shows at legendary venues. They released four full-length albums to international acclaim with 45 million Spotify streams and reviews spanning 35+ countries. They supported the Black Crowes at Massey Hall and MTELUS and appeared on KEXP. Their tunes have been licensed to films, series, and video games including EA Sports, The Rookie, Hockey Night In Canada, and Population 11. After touring for three years straight through 2024, they focused on writing their new record TV Dinner. TV Dinner drops August 28 with 13 fuzzy, mind-bending tracks themed around modern life struggles: burnout, doomscrolling, addiction, dead-end jobs, housing frustrations, and low-grade anxiety. Recorded with longtime collaborator Simon Larochette at The Sugar Shack in London, Ontario, the album leaves the rough edges alone. Aurora steps up to lead vocals on several tracks, including the debut single Projector, a garage-punk blast. The album deliberately avoids polish, leaving mistakes and natural weird things in the mix.
