About
Gio Chamba is an electropical-cumbia duo from Houston, Texas, formed by Gio Alejandro and Coffee Guzman. They blend electronic production, hip-hop, and traditional cumbia with bass-heavy grooves, psychedelic guitar lines, and high-energy performances. Their sound is shaped in collaboration with producer Svani Quintanilla, son of A.B. Quintanilla of Los Kumbia Kings. On stage, Gio's vocals and guitar interplay with Coffee's explosive, punk-influenced conga playing to create a dance-forward live experience. Over the past decade, Gio Chamba has shared stages with artists including Ozomatli, Natalia Lafourcade, and Chicano Batman, and has performed at festivals including Free Press Summer Fest and Super Bowl Live. Their latest album, Tropidélicos, draws inspiration from Peruvian Chicha while pushing psychedelic-electronic cumbia forward. They have over 59K followers on TikTok and 48K on Instagram.
